Not correct Tiantai. Hong Kong has a humid subtropical climate rather than tropical climate, akin to the Southeastern US, climate-wise. Yes, summers can be oppressively humid, but winters are cool and dry (and quite pleasant), sometimes dipping close to freezing, but usually between 5-18 degrees C. There are plenty of spitz breeds in Hong Kong. Huskies, Akitas and other northern breeds do shed in Hong Kong as well, but their coats may not be as thick. My mother has a Shiba Inu for instance, and he likes HK just fine.
