Stop Bite Collar

Post by arianwenarie » Sun Apr 05, 2015 1:21 am

A friend of mine has a extremely persistent bully breed dog who had surgery to remove some fatty tumors and she has gone thru 3 types of e-collars (not counting a homemade collar from a swimming noodle), too many t-shirts and ripped out her stitches once already. She is doing well on the stop-bite collar, so I thought I'd post it here for owners if ever needed: http://www.stop-bite.net.

No problem... it looks like an interesting solution for when the traditional methods don't work. :)

I've used the generic version, love them! You have to be careful to take them off every so often and allow the dog to move his / her neck around and give them a good massage otherwise they'll get pretty stiff (just like when you get a cast removed). Wylie absolutely destroyed one cone when he hurt his two front paws, so when he's neutered I'll be trying one of these instead.

Kaitlin, from the pictures and your description it seems like a neckbrace for dogs..is that sort of what it is?

Yeah that's pretty much what it is. It keeps them from moving their head far enough sideways to nip at their wounds.
