A few years ago many folks in this Tamaskan community spread a campaign called "Save Tuffy" when the NC State university initially contacted Right Puppy Kennel (who now goes by the name Blustag USA, among other aliases) in search of a wolf-like breed for their mascot. Unknown to the university at the time, the kennel's owner is a notorious puppy miller who has a history of animal abuse, forging documents like fake pedigrees, scamming customers, and even threatening most of his acquaintances who have spoken out against him. The breeder was then eager to volunteer his female, a husky-mix name Roxy, for the NC state university mascot as part of his agenda in hoping to further promote his unethical business through attracting attention via the university's mascot and associating with its sport team. While the awareness about Kevin Settineri's unethical breeding successfully came to light as soon as the Tamaskan community took action and which ultimately resulted with him being booted from the team, sadly the dog could not be rescue away from him because she is legally under his ownership. Today, Kevin is STILL using Roxy, among other dogs, as his profit machine and even after numerous legal cases were brought up against him in court, he is still breeding countless back-to-backs and so on with detrimental results on most of the pups as their parents are not properly health-tested. In this photo is a snapshot of what has become of Roxy, the original Tuffy, today. She is still living in this ordeal of being used as a puppy-generating engine by her cruel owner.
