ENTIRETY IN MALES

Just thought I would post this topic as it is interesting. Not all males have their testicles down by 8 weeks which is when they can officially leave here.
This of course is very frustrating for anyone wanting their pup at 8 weeks, and also more frustrating for those being sent overseas. IF I was to keep a male until it testicles dropped, and then flew them the expense would obviously be a lot more due to pup having grown/weigh more etc. Also as in the case today of Jenny going over to Europe with puppies IF we have a male with no apparent testicles do we 'not' send that pup! This being the case the pup would have to fly at a later date and would cost more as explained above, pup being much better being driven which is why we do it in the first place. Also it may not be possible to hand deliver if one pup drops out as we only deliver 3 or more pups at anyone time due to costings. Quite a dilemma. I have noticed over the years with this breed that their testicles are sometimes quite late to come down and rarely are they noticible at 8 weeks of age. My Malamute on the other hand are always noticible... interesting!.

I think I read somewhere that the late comming down is also hereditarily and is a "lighter" version of Monorchism..
Cant find the where though.
