Hello everybody

Please allow me to introduce myself here.
My name is Stefanie, married and mother of two kids of 15 and 17 years.
I am breeder of Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs since 2002.
Always with tested parents, to get something that add to the breed.
For some time I'm interested in the Tamaskan.
Especially the 'sweeter' character appeals to me.
I'm going to the forum but once read,
to find out the ins and outs

Nice to meet you here. I also lived these 8 past years with CWD. I've welcomed a Tamaskan puppy in july, 6,5 months these days. Sweeter mind, indeed, even if CWD is there ! :D

Hello Stefanie,
Welcome aboard the International Tamaskan Forum!

Thank you for your interest in the Tamaskan breed and you have come to the right place to learn more about this awesome breed. I see that you've already had lots of experience with the Czechoslovakian Vlcak, a breed that also exists in some (not all) of the Tamaskan lines. I am also a Czechoslovakian Vlcak fan myself even though I don't plan on owning that breed, but do feel free to explore the forum :D

Oh and I am Lucas, I'm a future owner in maybe 4 years and I plan to become an assistant to Amit (President of the National Tamaskan Club of Canada) in about 6 years from now. I like your username (wolfwoman) by the way. Female counter-part of the many wolfmen I've bumped into.

I think it's great that we have you, a Czech Vlcak breeder among us because one day when someone asks a question (which has already been asked before) regarding the differences between the Tamaskan and Czech standard you would be able to point out in full details all of the differences. Though at the moment I know another person in the Netherlands who has a Czech, Saarloos, and a Tamaskan.

Hello Stephanie, I'm glad more CSW people are joining. It was the promise of sweeter temperament that first interested me in Tamaskans myself:] Not that I myself find Vlcak temperament lacking, but I'm hoping that the Tamaskan project succeeds as the breed to go for when you like looking at wolves, but prefer living with a retriever.
