bad news day

Post by MelB » Mon Jun 21, 2010 12:41 pm

Today we found out that our remaining GSD, Ginny, has degenerative myelopathy just like her sister Holly had. She's not as bad as Holly was at her initial diagnosis but we know her time is now limited. She's about 11-12 years old so all time is precious anyway.

I'm sorry to hear that. I still hope Ginny will be there for a long time.

Thanks everyone. Having lost Holly only 10 weeks ago it's bit of a blow but we'd been expecting it (sort of) because we were told they were sisters, just not so soon. She's still getting about OK, much better than Holly was and we're hoping that when our Tamaskan puppy arrives it will perk her up. She's so depressed since Holly deteriorated & died so she's not moving much which isn't good for the condition either. :(

Im really sorry to here the sad news

When we lost Bodie; our girl Nakita went the same way, she was very depressed and sat about whining and howling.

When the puppies came along it gave Nakita a new lease of life and she took the puppies under her wing, if nothing else, it kept her very ammused just sitting watching the puppies play.

I am sure Ginny will be very pleased to see the Tamaskan Puppies

wishing you well
Roy
