RAF Leuchars

Post by RoyAM » Fri Apr 15, 2011 6:59 pm

You will have seen from our photo's that we regularly take Dakota, Nebraska & Cody-Wyoming to St.Andrews beach where they love to run free for hours on end.

What you may not know is that right above where we walk the malamutes is the landing flight-path for RAF Leuchars. We have snapped a good few photo's of the planes and it has really helped the pups get used to loud noise, and heck it is really loud at times. Here are a few photo's of what is right above us when we walk the dogs;

Do you take the dogs to Tentsmuir? We like to take Loki and Freja there- great beach! also near Leuchars but haven't seen the planes.

Wow if they can get used to them they can get used to anything. Great pictures, you could wave at the pilots.

Kelly

if you go to either St.Andrews or tentsmuir around 7 / 8pm for next 3 or 4 days tide will be low enouth to walk from one beach to the other.

Flight path is right between the two on the eden estury.

Tentsmuir is rife with ticks right now, they are coming off the deer and dropping onto any dog that runs by

We will be back at St.Andrews around 7pm on Sunday.
