Post by RoyAM » Sun Mar 13, 2011 10:26 am

Sitting at home with broken ribs right now, never knew how painfull it could be, cant laugh, sneeze or cough without hurting, even breathing is a pain

reckon I will be off work for 6 - 8 weeks, havent even got good weather to sit out.

Also trying to fight off 3 malamutes who are jumping up on me to say hi

Sorry to hear about your ribs :(
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

The wolf that wins? The one you feed!

~ Cherokee Proverb

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity... I'm not sure about the former.

ouch! sounds horrible and painful... what happened?!
Saxon wrote:got a trapped nerve in my back
no fun... i had that in one arm (pinched shoulder nerve) in 2009 and it was awful... luckily not too painful but definitely extremely uncomfortable (pins and needles sensation / numbness) and I couldn't lift or move my arm above a certain point. It took about 2 months for the nerve damage to repair before I could feel my fingertips again.

I feel your pain. My horse got spring fever and bucked me off. He broke four of my ribs. I am on my fourth week now and am doing much better. Hope you feel better soon. :D

Poor Roy! Sneezing and coughing are definitely bad things to do with broken ribs! I broke 4 ribs falling off a motorbike, I feel for you :(

I can add to this too, had my toe nail removed and parts of my toe cut away last week cos it was infected :) oh the joys

I was out walking and walked over a "manhole cover" that was on a path, the manhole cover collapsed and down i went into the hole, broke ribs and cuts

it would have been funny if it wasnt so sore, sara was walking next to me, talking away, next minute she looked round i wasnt there! (I was down a hole)

18 days now and still as sore, signed off work for another 4 weeks
