I sketched the spider from a blue tarantella I found on my phone in google images..
its not an exact replica, but it sure does look quite alive..
It dosent matter where the immage came from, its your interputation, and thats all that matters. That's what art is.
I draw from pictures, photos etc or live if the subject stays still. The drawing of the fallow fawn was done from a dead one I found up on the hills.
Just do your own thing.... it's YOUR art...

Spider looks great as it is, you could always photocopy it then try the shading to see if it works rather than risk spoiling the original if it did not.

Hey Nino I really like this one! Haven't seen any innocent-looking happy griffins for a long time (all those videogames that I've played always depict them as ferocious creatures). You should join some drawing conventions at downtown Toronto at some point of time! We do have to drawing cons once in a while and I think a lot of people are going to love to see your artwork! 8-)

I actually just did this one :)

This one was from a drawing I found online quite a while ago, but I really liked it and had to try to do it the dot style :)

yes, you have the gift !!! this is really good and has plenty of depth which can be tricky with dot's sometimes.
I use different sized nib's and use the smallest size to build up the shading. I think you used just one size on this but you have still managed to get different tones. another trick is to use the nib at fifferent angles. that way the size and shape of the dot can be used in different ways.
I really like this one....well done.

Thanks a lot for your comment and advice I will keep this in mind :)
I used 3 different kind of sizes but I'm still learning so I mostly used 2 of them all over :lol:
the biggest one 0,8 mm I used for the really dark places ;)

ells I used a 0,3 and a 0,5 mm (i think) :)
I am thinking of what my next project will be already :)
would love to make a really big one, but I'm not sure if it is a too big of a project for the time being :lol:

I love the stipping of the spider!
We did stipping as school related project once and it was so much work, I can feel you there when you say you spend 7-8 hours on it! It turned out splendid imho!

I'm ambidextrous but am limited to writing and diagrams for lab notes :lol:

hehe.. yeah I think a lot of people would like that.. I would love to borrow the head of some people sometimes.. to get ideas for work to be done :)

I'm not ambidextrous, ah well considering a single action I am more a lefty than a righty but normally I am a righty :)
