Loona (USA) - adopted

Post by michifloo » Thu Aug 19, 2010 2:49 pm

Meet Loona. See pics below. She is a 1 1/2 y/o dog bought from RPK and promptly abandoned at 8 weeks with caregivers who loved her and raised her in a healthy, happy home. Her caregivers had some major life changes and had to make the very heartbreaking and difficult decision to re-home Loona. With good fortune, they were able to get into contact with our rescue. They had contacted a WolfDog Rescue, as Loona was sold as a "Tamaskan WolfDog" by RPK, but the WD rescue, not in the business of taking in any wolfy looking domestic breed, encouraged them to find me. They had also contacted their local congressman's office for assistance, who had made contact directly with our rescue to assist them. Loona most prob would have been lost if she had been dropped off at a shelter as she had the "Wolf Dog" label. She came from a litter prior to RPK's use of wolf dogs....

Loona is very well socialized, responsive and loves everyone and everything! She enjoys swimming and chasing vermin ;) She is a petite thing, 55 lbs and about 23 inches at the withers. I have had many inquires about adopting Loona but will hold off on a decision for a couple of weeks to let her settle down from all of the changes she has had recently.

We are always looking for donations to help support our rescue to pay for transport, Vetting, food and shelter for our rescue dogs. If you are willing to help, please visit my website at:

Under the Rescue Info page. We are a non-profit org, so donations are not tax deductable. The only source of income we have are the adoption fees and the generosity of the public.

awww, she is lovely, its so sad that she has already had so many homes.... :(

She is a very sweet dog. My mom even thought about adopting her(despite her no shedding dogs rule). She will make whoever adopts her very happy. :)
