CZV x AWD - low/mid content - Merlin
CZV x AWD - low/mid content - Merlin
Hello everybody,
I would like to introduce our new addition to the family : (not so) Little Merlin!
He's 9 weeks old today, and at home since last saturday.
He's a wonderful pup, very close to humans, not shy (so far), very easy to handdle (so far).
He's very talkative, was kinda afraid when we were out of sight the last few days, but since yesterday he's doing a lot better, becoming closer to Ayla and more at ease.
The mum is a long haired CZV (lof), Ankhara.
The dad is an upper mid/low HC AWD, from Christian Berge, Hiro.

I meant the specific breeds (if known) of domestic dogs involved in the wolfdog admixtureLynwae wrote:Wolfdogs.

Re: AWD low/mid content Merlin
As far as I know this is the average "combo" of malamute, sheperd, husky.

He looks amazing!! If puppy pics werent so cute, I would say I cant wait to see what he looks like as a mature adult.
Is his sire, Hero, the same Hero that appears in Heidi's pedigree? Heidi's grandsire. http://www.tamaskan-database.com/database/dog?id=441 (couldnt find heidi's pedigree, so I linked to one of Heidi's daughters).
P.S. there can never be too many puppy pictures!

Hello
Tana, I wanted a more wolfy dog, maybe to use him as an outcross for the tamaskan later (for the more huskish lines). Plus, I discovered wolfdogs these last 3 years and felt in love.
I'm not very fond of CZV (too hyper) and saarloos (too shy) and was very in love with american wolfdogs.
Soooo I went for a mid content one. But never find what I was looking for and a friend of mine (Merlin's mother's owner) told me about this litter and i said YES.
Arian, not that's not the same dog
You can follow Hiro on facebook here if you want. He's an handsome chap.

I want to steal him! He looks amazing! Even better than some of the ANCD's I've seen (Yarrow is still one of the wolfiest ones though)

Re: AWD low/mid content Merlin
He's gorgeous! How is his temperament as he is maturing?
Re: AWD low/mid content Merlin
He's a sweetheart
Very sweet with us, still very submisive and polite with other dogs (but, still, he's only 9 months old).
Quite easy to train (tamaskan-like).
But he's kinda shy with new people, especially men. He can still grow out of that as he'll maturing and will be more sure of himself I think.
He already made some good progress, he doesn't panic anymore and is now very brave when we have him leshed in crowed places.
