Epic hiking trip with the dogs

Post by Kootenaywolf » Sun Sep 30, 2012 3:59 pm

Just got back from a really nice overnight hike with Yarrow and Jasper. There were so many amazing opportunities for photos. Here are a bunch of them (it's hard to choose!)...

All I can say is WOW, your photos are always stunning. Can we please see more from this trip please.

I just wanted to add that Jasper your Rough Collie is perfect, exactly how I imagine a Rough Collie should look, so many collies nowadays seem wrong to me i.e. nose to short, coat too thick and wooly.

Oh and of course Yarrow is amazing as usual.

Zeus 10.02.2007 - 24.07.2012 Rest in peace my boy, you'll always be missed.

Thanks :) I also love Jasper's look, I haven't really run across any others that look quite like him, he kind of has the old classic "Lassie" look!

More pictures? Okay!

Just lovely! I needed photos like that today. The hike looks amazing and your pups are beautiful. :)

Never enough when they look like this!! You are so friggin' talented with the camera!! What are you using? I guess I just need to have someone like you follow Max and me around for a week or so to get some really good picts of my boy  I'm as bad a photographer as you can get (not to mention I'm definitely not photogenic either)

Love them all! SO pretty! Shadowed ones are my favs! I would love to go out there and take pics, if not just go for the view. Wow!
And your pair are so very pretty. How do you keep their coats so nice and shinny-looking? (And where are they from!? Sorry if you has said before... >.<)

Thank you! I feed them a really high quality grain free food, so that probably helps keep their coats in good condition along with regular grooming, but other than that I think I just lucked out with really nice coated dogs!

Yarrow is an Alaskan Noble Companion Dog from Ann Dresselhaus the breed founder, and Jasper is just from a fairly local (kind of BYB, unfortunately) breeder.

It's amazing how much one says that while looking at the pictures isn't it
