Tear

Post by TParham86 » Fri Jul 27, 2012 5:20 am

I'd like to introduce a new member to my family! This is Tear a 12wk old kitten that I found in the bushes by my apartment complex this past Sunday. Mona Lisa had sniffed her out and she didn't run or anything, she kind of just looked at her. So I took her home and cleaned her up a bit and gave her some food and water. The next day I took her to the vet to get a checkup and she was micro-chipped which still stated the adoption agency that had her. So I called them to see if they were missing a kitten and long story short, it turned out that she had been adopted out to some lady in my apartment complex this past Saturday :? So the agency called the original owner and it turned out she didn't want the kitten anymore so I happily accepted her as a permanent part of my family. She is bonding VERY well with Luke and isn't even showing any fear of Mona Lisa, she even cuddles with her (or tries too  Mona's still too hyper for the little girl) So anyway sorry for the long post, ;) below are pics of my new addition. :D

Can't understand how someone can adopt and then just dump because 'they just didn't want it anymore'.
She is adorable :) you did a good thing rescuing her.

Cute kitten! Congrats! :D

I find it incredible that someone would officially adopt a kitten and then dump it just a few DAYS later - thank goodness you found her! Anyway, is her name pronounced 'Tear' (as in tear drop) or 'Tear' as in (to rip / shred)?

Her name is pronounced "Tear" (as in tear drop) :D But ya I was VERY shocked when I found out that after 24hrs of adopting her...she didn't want the kitten?? Maybe she didn't realize the care it took for the kitten, I'm not sure?? But I think it's cruel to put the kitten through that kind of stress? I don't understand some people at all? I'm just happy that I found her and are able to give her a permanent home!

OMG! She is SO cute~!
Okay, if you don't want the kitten anymore, and after such a SHORT time.... Why not bring it back to the rescure instead of just throwing it outside? Yesh!
SO glade ya took her and gave her a FOREVER home! Tear may have cried a few tears (haha!), but now she looks like the perfect kitty!
Congrats! ;)

she is beautiful, quite distinctive in colour and looks. Amazing how quickly some people tire of an animal and shelters are usually very particular and careful to check people out too.

She is lovely and growing so fast... I've always wanted a tortie just like that, the colour of them is amazing (for me  ). I've only come across ones with bigger patches of ginger and/or black...

I'm actually starting to think she might just be a small cat, when I took the pic of her and Luke in the window there is a size difference between them :) I wasn't sure if it was because she's 1yr old, while Luke is 2yrs old :)
