He is lovely! And mum and dad are gorgeous too! (Bear x Asher). I'm sorry I missed you today, if Liz had told me it was you coming when I found then I would have come a bit earlier to meet you!

Bear is a BIG boy! He has such a funny bark too!

I wanted to take Odin home with me, he was gorgeous and kept on knocking me over when I was crouching down to give me kisses!

Pretty boy... Are his parents registered Tams, I have never heard of them? Will you just keep him as a pet or will you try and register him?

The mother Asher (Alba Stenkil) is registered. The father Bear is a Northern Inuit mix I believe.

Ah ha, would it be possible to ever add this dog into breeding pool of Tamaskan then? ( Understand if this is a question that can not be answered at this time.)

yes bear is ni and i don't know wether i will try to register him yet will see what he grows into. i personally can't see why he can't be registered as his dad bear looks very much like (i think) lynns kenai and he is a foundation dog (i think ). atm dylan has a straight tail which is great and small ears both parents have decent hip scores so he could be registered at a later date. maybe if i decide to register him i could possibly meet up with fiona so she can see what she thinks and tell the comittee.
atm he is being a pain in the bum so he might be up for adoption soon ;) ;) :D .

He is gorgeous dog but I would hope bears hip test, dm scores as well as his parents scores would be made avalible before consideration. (I think there are health risks in some NI that we dont wan't to add in to tamaskan?) Also what doors will this open up if he is registerd if history a few gens back in his pedigree isn't avalible? Could people on the forum go get Tamaskan/ANCD mix from Aatu breeder (Not sure if this mating is to still be done) and expect it to be registerd cause it is half tam from a use to be registered breeder and it looks like a tam? Just honest worry ;)

On another note hope to see more photo's of him soon :)

Besides that Bear has NI in him also he has Saarloos in his background.
Bear is real beautiful and if all his test are done etc he would be a great addition.
The only thing I don't like is that in his background dogs there is a lack of health tests......
But I do hope Liz did the proper ones

Among the Aatu breeders from the TBA there is no litter yet with an out cross. And remember if there was they aren't tamaskans........
But why wouldn't anybody could get an Aatu from this forum....In my eyes it is just the same as they would go for an other kind of breed like a GSD or Maltese.....

Kenai is a cryptorchid and has never sired a litter... thus, he is not a foundation dog for the Tamaskan breed.

I think she means: if she got an Aatu, could it be registered as a Tamaskan and used for breeding into the Tamaskan bloodlines - I don't see why not, provided all the health testing was complete along with full pedigree info (and temperament analysis). The TDR Committee would have to discuss it in advance but I don't think it would be a problem.

there will be more pics soon.
i never said i couldn't have his pedigree just that i haven't got it yet. as for hips bear is 6.4 and asher is 4.5 which are both well in the limit. i also said i hadn't decided to apply register him yet and would wait to see what he grows into and he will be dm hips and the like before i applied as i would want everything to go in his favour. ok so he has saarloos in the pedigree but until i look back into this i will never know ( wolf content is what your all worried about) and so at the moment it shouldn't really be a problem as he is only 16 weeks old. some people have said they don't want gsd or whatever brought in but i personally think it all depends on the dog, don't mean to offend but nothing has been set in stone regarding breeding as atm lexi hasn't had any of her tests and she may fail anyways. when you buy a dog to breed from its not a gaurantee that they will be able to so then what do you do, if you are like me they will be speyed or neutered and kept as the family pets they are anyway. :)

Know I am totally not worried about wolfcontent ;) I knew where I got into about wolfcontent ;)
The main thing is you enjoy him and I bet you will :D
And to be honest I do hope he will turn out as a great looking one :D

Yes forget all that stuff, your puppy is stunning!!! Just keep all socks put of reach and forget having a decent garden (by the way if he needs adopting I would just be able to squeeze him in!) enjoy, the first 12 months are the hardest! :) :)

yes i know lexi is 13 months now and its only just started getting better. this little chap is already showing his character to be cheeky and he thinks me and the sofa are his and snaps at any of the other dogs that come near, will have to get on top of that me thinks :D . i don't think he's going anywhere so you can't have him unless you give him back when you have house trained him ;) :D

He sounds like he will get the hang of it straight away. When nivenj got Ayden he was around 15 weeks and was very quick to house train whereas Finn was only just 8 weeks so it has taken him quite awhile. But he has got the hang of it now. I have to say that there is quite a likeness between him and Finn so it will be interesting to see his progress. Loads of photos please. :) :)

they are getting along just fine to the point that if i take dylan in the garden without her she taps on the window to get his attention. they play together and share their cow hide chews and play hide and seek under the bed. dylan has been naughty today and peed on the bed so he got a smack then held his head in shame, it was so cute i just had to smile and i am going to teach him to hold his head in shame when he has been naughty. getting there with the house training only a couple of little accidents and no pooh in the house and he has started to go to the door when he wants to go out bless him not bad for 48 hours :). the pic of dylan and lexi is of her stealing a strawberry and sharing with dylan.
