He really looks fantastic - I love his thick coat!! <3 <3 <3
Zora has a much thinner / shorter coat (due to the hot summer weather here)

He is a little furball :D But we wonder if he is going to have his same coat during the winter or if he will be even more fluffy. And if this is his winter furr already, we are not so familiar with the shedding seasons. But it seems kind of early for that.
He was shedding a LOT a couple of weeks ago, but overall a bit at a time during the whole summer. These last 2 weeks he hardly shed at all. Was that his puppy coat falling off perhaps?

Normally my sisters husky gets her winter coat around the end of september/beginning of october.

I'm wondering the same thing about my ANCD pup! He was born in feb, and he grew in a crazy thick coat basically right in time for the summer heat, so he's been suffering all summer (being black doesn't help matters either). It almost seems like he's starting to shed out his undercoat a bit now, but I'm wondering if he's going to grown in an even crazier winter coat?? It will be interesting to see what happens...

To me in the second photo (P8240097) he looks more like a Siberian Husky than a Tamaskan. Maybe it's because of sun-shining at that angle and brightening the colour on his face. I don't know, sometimes some (not all) Tamaskans such as Zephyr look more Husky than wolfish to me for some reason. Maybe it's cuz Blaze's awesome image painted that ideal view into my mind and I've since then been stubbornly looking at Tamaskans in my mind as "this is how they should look".

But regardless, the dog is gorgeous and very strong looking ;)

Yeah, but when it does start changing it goes fast  Right now, there are hardly any leaves left and some nights it freezes (-2 to -5) Yesterday it even snowed a little bit. Guess its winter furr time soon :D
