Tamaskan fun

Post by muensterland » Thu Sep 15, 2011 2:48 pm

Last weekend we had a trip to the wildpark Lueneburger Heide. We met there several Tamaskan owner to spend the day together.
We have been 15 people together with 10 dogs.
It was a great day and we had much fun.

We listened to a lecture at the wolf enclosure which has held by Tanja Askani.
Tanja Askani is responsible for the wolves in the park and she also wrote several books about her wolves. Following the presentation, Tanja invited us to a short photosession and here is the result.

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

The wolf that wins? The one you feed!

~ Cherokee Proverb

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity... I'm not sure about the former.

It was a wonderful and exciting experience in the park. We have seen wolves, ... and the wolves have seen 10 Tamaskans. Wolves and dogs stood face to face at a distance of only one meter. They could see, smell and taste each other.

And after this, ... our dogs had the possibility to have fun ... .

This event was really nice. Lilli had a lot of fun, and slept very well at home.

Hahaha! Great pics! Is that Lilli making all the funny faces? And who is the bigger dog in the second to last photo, he / she's amazing (I think he but I'm not too sure).

I also thought that Tala was a male at 1st, and I also agree with you that Mas'Khann does look a bit like a Czech wolfdog ;)

I think I do! lol
I do not just know almost all the dogs by sight, registered name and call name but I also know the parents and grandparents that are behind most of the times. I sometimes do feel like a walking database
When I was talking to people at the Tamaskan Shows together with Lynn, even she was sometimes confused about identifying a certain dog or lineage behind, and I could tell her the right awnser
