Nanuq vom Muensterland

Post by muensterland » Mon May 24, 2010 12:25 am

Hi together

Since one week Nanuq (10 month) is a member of our pack. He is the brother of Fly and he is really a very georgeous boy.
His first owner has gotten ill so he had to get back to us. Cause of his lovely character and cause of his look he will be a member of our pack for the rest of his life. He is a very huge boy with 74cm at the moment.
I think that these are the first pic's of him at the Tamaskan Forum.

Great photos! Wow... he's going to be BIG, he's already BIG! :D
Also, he looks like a Black-Grey Tamaskan to me... ;)

Eh... I don't think he's quite dark enough to be black-grey. Close though. Very beautiful.

I'm not sure... I think it is debatable. Technically speaking, the only registered Black Grey litter so far has been Rann X Tumanra... BUT I also think that Nanuq is dark enough to fall into the Black Grey category as his main coat overlay is black. He's certainly much darker than regular Wolf Grey Tamaskans; just like Summer is much lighter than most Wolf Grey Tamaskans. (I also think we should eventually open up a 4th color category... "Light Grey" or "White Grey" to include the very light grey / off-white [never solid white] Tamaskan bloodlines in their own category. But that's a whole other topic... ;))

Wow, he is big, and very handsome. He has a very masculine look.

Very handsome boy! :D Thanks for posting these photos.
I wonder if all Tamaskans have the tendency to hang their (very long) tongue out of the side of their mouth?

Hello everybody,

Today I had business to do in Düsseldorf. On my way back home I took the opportunity to visit Kirsten Dieks and Karsten Büscher + their dogs in Gescher. I requested by phone if I may come to visit them. Kirsten agreed immediately and I was pretty excited when I drove there. To date, I was rather fixated on light colored Tamaskans. Having now seen Nanuq and Falk live, I am the greatest fan of dark colored Tamaskans. Of course Summer and Fly are also very pretty and the king of the ring is Gismo.

I was most impressed by Nanuq... his size, his attitude, his whole appearance. All the dogs of Kirsten and Karsten are very nice, but Nanuq is an incredibly beautiful male.

Thanks a lot for allowing me to visit you.

Best regards
Marc

Nice to hear you had a good time! Yes, Munsterland pack is really great. I also really like the black-grey tams. You know there is a mating planned with Tumanra and Akim :)
Akim is the brother of Nanuq and he is even darker and has yellow eyes.

It was really a nice visit.
Hope we are going to see you, your wife and Lilli as soon as possible.
There will be alway a Pot of coffee for you if you are near Gescher.

See you

I can't speak for all but when Terri and I look at 'Tsonata, we wonder where he puts all of it when closes his mouth. So for us the answer is yes. That big tongue hangs all over the place.
What's in the doggy bag?
