I thought Konah was red grey cause she looks very red to me.. ?
.. more red than Nova anyway .. and she is also wolf grey.

Red grey or wolf grey.... they are beautiful dogs :D
Well she has a bit of reddish tints in her coat but not much. It may also look like that because of the light of the pictures etc. If I compare her to the red greys (Jackal, Geri, and also sister Timba for example) then you can see that Konah isn't a red grey.
Yes it might be the light .. looks like she is quite red :)

At first I didn't like red or to dark coat.. wanted a wolf grey and thats what we got in Nova.. but things change =) now I think red and dark coat can be just as beautiful as wolf grey =)

Lots of beautiful dogs here.. grey or red, dark or light.. wonder what color our boy will be :D :D :D

Mila is 5 months old now, at the moment she has no teeth in her mouth except for the large molars in the back. But luckily she doesn't care and is as happy and playful as ever. :D

The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

Yes it is! There are great places around here to walk the dogs, but I had to drive a half an hour to get here, unfortunately it is not in our neighbourhood.
MIKA wrote:You have a really great place for your walk! We also regularly make such trips through the forest with multiple dogs. All love it :D
Yes, it's really good for socialization. She walks with other dogs from friends, with dogs I know from a Dutch dog forum (like this walk), at the dogschool and with someone I walk with who gets paid to walk with dogs from people who are working. Of course all social and friendly dogs. ;) She behaves excellent in dog groups, I'm very proud of her.
Blustag wrote:Brilliant pictures Gaby. How is her recall? her brother is a menace  should have kept Sawyer
 Hope he doesn't take off like his dad! And I think it is great you kept Ollie! How is he doing besides the recall? Very curious to see pictures. ;)

Mila still thinks that we leave her if she loses us from sight, so she sticks around very well. ;) We let her off leash as soon as we got her, at safe places. She doesn't go after other dogs and stops hunting if we walk along. But from the start she didn't like it to come so close that you can put a leash on her. I believe because she has to go on the lead if we get near the car park and she has and she is car sick, she doesn't like it to go on the lead. She associates the leash with the car I believe. The poor thing. But the car sickness is already better than it was.

Also we always gave her nice treats for coming, but she isn't very bothered about "normal" treats. (Our other dog would kill for those "normal" treats. ) But now we sometimes take super nice treats with us, like chicken necks, and when she comes when she is called she will get one. We are lucky that our other dog Rhodin always comes when he is called, so she has a good example. ;) Only once we lost her, and it was in a forest, there were no roads nearby but I was very anxious, because this didn't happen before. And after a minute she came running out of the bushes, apparently she lost us too, because she was panicking. And we acted excited and have comforted her on purpose, so she thought that running away is very scary. And now she sticks around even better. Yeah, a bit mean, but she is now very good off leash and I think that is so important, I don't like to walk with a dog on the leash all the time. When we walk with a big group of dogs I don't even have to look for her. She comes to me with a big smiley face "Hello boss, how are you? I'm having so much fun! :D " and she is off again. She is so cute, it's unbelievable.

The only thing I find hard to contain is her hunting instinct. Today she catched her first prey. :| It was a young bird that sat on the ground and couldn't fly properly. But we shouted "Loose" and she dropped it immediately! That was unexpected and very nice, the bird flew away and is still alive. But she isn't good with cats and other small animals, even though we train her. She just gets too excited when she sees them. Well, I think you know all the ins and outs now about her recall. I hope I haven't wrote too much bad English in this long text, if so, I'm sorry!

Haha! just reading about Ollie and Mila i think Kodi is smack bang in the middle of being brilliant and a menace!!
But Mila is a lovely looking dog, and does look a lot like Kodi minus the colouring. Looking forward to the day that they can all meet up together if that happens. Also Lynn have you heard from the other UK family that took Kodi's twin (in the markings sense).

But great photos too!

Thanks for the reactions! @ John: It would be great if they can meet up sometimes. Maybe at the 12th anniversery in the UK? Kodi is such a pretty girl! :D

We have been on vacation and off course I've made some pictures! Mila is almost six months now. She behaved very well in this new environment, in the woods and camping in a tent. It even looks like she isn't carsick any more! :D

Thanks for all the reactions! The vacation was great indeed. It's very nice to be on vacation with your dogs, being together all the time and have the whole day to do nice things with them. It makes the bond stronger I think. This was Rhodins third time on vacation in this tent and when he noticed the tent that we took out the back of the car he already knew that we where on vacation. He really enjoys it and I believe Mila enjoyed it too. :D

We are members of the Dutch State organization which manages and takes care for the Dutch nature (Staatsbosbeheer). That organization has campsites at the most beautiful places in the Netherlands and that's where we go camping. I don't know how to explain it better, but I hope you understand.
