Ailsa

Post by Janboreeni » Sun May 09, 2010 10:01 pm

I hope you don't mind but I'd like to post some my images of Ailsa again, from pup to present day.
It's only been 6 months!
It's interesting how they change so quickly.

Image
Ailsa's very first evening at home after we picked her up. She looks a little lost and lonely here but she and my son hit it off really quickly - she chased him everywhere.

Image
Another from her first evening. She blends right into the sheepskin rug behind her.

Image
"Not me Mum!" Ailsa christens the house... never mind.

Image
A later photo when Ailsa was feeling a lot more bold. Here my son had brought his wolf toy for her to see - she grabbed it and hauled it away to her lair down the side of the sofa.

Image
Ailsa goes for the throat!

Image
A month older and Ailsa experiences her first snow. Her coat was really starting to lighten now.

Image
Deeper snow and an even lighter coat. She was loving running about and making snowballs with her nose. You can see some at her feet.

Image
Possibly my favourite puppy photo.

Image
We were teaching her to come in an enclosed tennis court - she was going at full pelt from person to person.

Image
Chewing a wooden sword and looking very regal.

Image
A month and a half after the last photo and suddenly she looks much older! This was taken on a ramble on Valentine's Day

Image
Easter and a picture of Ailsa after she fell in the sea, mistaking floating seaweed for a rock. The water made her quite wolfy.

Image
Another after her dunking - this time being a little more careful on the rocks.

Image
My most recent photo taken in mid April at Higger Tor near Hathersage.

I hope to post some more soon.
All the best

Of course we don't mind!!! GORGEOUS PICS!!! Thanks for sharing!! :D
She's so lovely... really beautiful. I think I might add a female Susi X Skye pup to my "future pup list" (for when we move to the countryside and have more space) ;)

She is gorgeous, I think I may be a little in love with her! Maybe I could do a swap with Tala at the show?!

Thanks again everyone.
We're really in love with Ailsa, so much so that when I said to my son that we may get another he burst into tears thinking that I meant as a replacement!

Wen - you are very welcome to borrow shots for the French forum. They are available on my Flickr account - just do a search for Janboreeni and you should see them there. If you click on the See All Sizes icon I think you can download them from the new window. If you have any problems just let me know and I'll email them to you.

Hi Claire,
 We're not parting with her, but can I have Tala anyway?

Seriously though, I'm sorry to say we can't make the show this year as we're at a wedding. This is a big sadness for us as we're desperate for Ailsa to meet some of her proper peers - you go on this forum long enough and the names start to become almost legendary Tala, Freyja, Banjo, Loki, Diesel, Wave to name just a tiny proportion off the top of my head! Aside from Lady WooWoo herself (she sings to the telephone) there doesn't appear to be any Tamaskans round here in the High Peak. Our vet certainly doesn't know of any.

The show date next year will be written on the calendar in permanent marker!
I hope we will catch you then if not before.

All the best

I will put some Sasha piccies up soon as she has changed and grown rather alot recently. Thats if she will stand still for the one second required to take a picture

Buxton would be great for us - it's a lovely place and Tamaskans tend to get a lot of attention there ! Graham likes to take Ailsa to the park, fortunately she's not spotted the squirrels yet. Let me know when and we'll come and meet you.

I hope so too Lynn!

Jen - I don't know about well behaved :D . A lot of the things she learned as pup she's choosing to forget lately - unless there's chicken involved! Anyway more pictures of Sasha would be great!

Lovely pictures. The last time I saw the Susi/Skye litter was when they were still pups and off to their new homes (around the time the original forum was shut down). :(

Ailsa is (nearly) all grown up now! I miss the cute puppy pictures already. Haha. Is it me or does Susi's looks greatly influence her pups? I mean, I can clearly see Susi's masking on Ailsa. Claire's Tala has it too. I don't think it's as apparent on Jasper and Onai though. :\

I think Susi has a very strong influence on her puppies Most of which look like their mum.

I agree, it is quite easy to spot a Susi puppy in a Tamaskan crowd :-)

I think Jasper looks more like his mom (Susi) than his dad (Jackal) but I can see a bit of both influences. It just seems to me that Susi's influence is stronger.

Yes usually Jackal has a strong influence over the looks of his progeny, but I guess he met his match with Susi :)

I can't believe how grown up and different she looks now. It's amazing seeing Tamaskan's mature. She is really beautiful.
