Raw treats

Post by iamnic » Fri May 25, 2012 8:36 pm

For any of you who are feeding raw/RMB/frankenprey models, do you have any suggestions for raw-friendly treats--home made or store bought--that you would recommend? Naima is currently fed RMB, except for her training treats! We haven't been able to find or figure out a good substitute yet. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

If you have a dehydrator, you can dehydrate some of her raw food...

I'm a germaphobe, so I don't use my dehydrator for that. But then again, I don't feed raw. lol. I do feed grain-free kibble and make my dog's own treats - I use the dehydrator for her cookies. :)

We use raw liver for training treats. Boiled, then baked, then cut into cubes and frozen in batches until needed. Kumho will do just about anything for them.

Carrot's !!!! Shay LOVES carrots. I also dry out liver and use this as a training reward. When we're out for our walk I have one pocket with diced carrot and the other has dry kibble. I alternate what I give them.
