Home Environment

Post by Cavs44 » Tue Oct 14, 2014 1:41 pm

What suggestions or advise would you recommend for preparing a home environment suitable for the breed? My wife and I are renovating a small suburban home. We have 6 foot wooden fencing. Might a little den or shelter be appropriate? The interior of the home is all hard wood and everything else will be tiled aside from one room to be carpeted. Id imagine that will help with shedding clean up. Anything else to safegaurd or consider? Yard lots are not particularly big but we are blessed to have more than most. Im an active runner going about 3-6 miles a day otherwise I get antsy. I anticipate training a dog to reach that mileage so we can both stretch our legs. Anything in regards to physical structure and environment for a Tamaskan is welcomed advise!

I don't think you would need to do anything beyond normal puppy proofing.

Thanks! That is reassuring. Just want to make sure we have a proper home if we can bring a Tam into the family.
