Water in crate

Post by chelle784 » Mon Jun 09, 2014 7:15 pm

Does anybody have recommendations for water containers in the crate? We are crate training phoenix but the water bottles we used to use for pepper leak after a while. She also likes to stand in her water bowl and has almost fallen asleep in it too so we can't use a normal bowl. We also tried a clip on bowl but that got destroyed/ chewed.

I use a flat sided pail in my dog's kennel and just use a carabiner (or leash) to clip it on the side of the kennel: http://www.dog.com/item/proselect-stain ... il/400763/

I have a wire crate, so I can clip it to any side on the kennel. If you have a plastic crate, then you'd have to clip it to the door.

Hope this helps. :)

I used to use a flat sided pail (metal!!!) with a metal clip to fasten it, then I used vetrap over top of that to keep in glued in place. You can find one at some pet stores but I bought mine at a horse supply store :)

Was the clip-on bowl metal or plastic? We used this one to get Indy from the US to Australia as we were afraid he would destroy a plastic one:

We bought a metal one in the end but ended up finding a no drip bottle which attached on the outside and has a metal spout which worked better as she's a mess drinker
