Re: My dogs smell delicious

I've not tried any yet for our pack, but they still smell good. They do not have that "doggy smell". To me they smell like a clean dusty parrot, which I love, others who have met them were surprised that they did not have a scent to them.

We don't have a fence either, though slowly have been trying to save up for one. We have 3 dogs altogether (1 mixed breed, 2 Tamaskan) and take them outside on the leash for potty breaks, regular walks in the early mornings, and they get regular dog park visits. Not having a fenced yard should not b...

Re: Hot Dogs... Literally!

We have 2 Tamaskans and live just north of Dallas/Fort Worth. Most of the time our pack is inside where it is constantly cool in the house, only being let outside for a potty break (we also have no fence). We do go for a walk every morning at 6:00 AM for an hour before it gets too warm, and on weeke...

Re: Hello from TX, USA!

I was in error when I wrote that I found 2 CO breeders - one of them turned out to be in NC, just had a page that came up saying something to the effect of "if you run across a Tamaskan in Colorado, it's probably from us" etc. Probably just a metadata issue. Ah, that one that is actually located in...

Re: Hello from TX, USA!

Hi and welcome to the forum! Lovely girl, but I'm positive she is not a Tamaskan, she really looks to me like a shepherd x husky mix. There was once a breeder in CO called Takari, but to my knowledge they are not breeding or have had a litter for a year or 2 now, there are no other Tamaskan breeders...

Agree with you 100%! It is very frustrating seeing so many misrepresentations, even more frustrating when you see it on popular shows or on the news. One that had me face-palming was a recent news report of some "wolves" in a rescue.

I really don't get it why are some of you so against adding CSW or Saarloos. It's not about adding the breed as hole and made different version of CSW, but adding specific dogs, who have GREAT temperaments, similar to Tamaskan. Like in the case of Groen, if these two dogs are great, I don't see any...
