when I was at school some of the students would have their rats with them you would never have known until lunchtime when they ook them out or someone would come over to talk to you and a rodent would pop it's head out from their pocket.

it rained here too allot of rain. but we have had way too much rain, it's now flooding both in the north and south on the east coast,

yes I wouldn't doubt that for a minute I watched a science documentary where they had a rat and a tub of water, they dropped it in to make it swim, they also had a block in there for squeaky to stand on, though it was just below the water level, once the put the rat on there, it was able to navigate...

hey cool I like the concept, I didn't actually know that people had pedigree for rats. Do they do the breeders logs and papers etc. as well?
I know they do showing and have some other rat orientated events.

That's terrific, rat genetics I have spoken to someone once before who studied rat genetics and went into breeding dogs, I imagine they studied dog genetics prior to breeding, but it helped greatly as the biomechanics work similarly but there are of cause substantial differences between the two subj...

Please don't throw sticks for your dog! I know so many dogs that have been injured by tripping and being impaled by the stick, through their throat and even the rib cage. You would be amazed at just how many enquires I am getting for puppies to go to AUS and NZ... problem is cost. :evil: Price of puppy plus flight which from UK is around £1,000 then on top of that masses of blood and poo samples and then we have to keep puppy until 4 months of age before being allow...

Hi Nick welcome to the forum! you're definitely in the right spot if you want a Tam - if you're going to get a dog, never rush and plenty of research is the key. sure a pretty face is hard to pass, but remember haste often leads to a sad story.

A lot of it stems from lack of education / lack of responsibility... it's not so much pure abandonment (though that does happen) but, more usually, many people just let their un-neutered cats roam around outdoors, which adds to the overpopulation of the existing strays... if their female cat comes ...

Good question... I have the sibes and mals and only one of my sibes is an escape artist. As for my Tamaskan some will escape and others wont bother. I have one Tamaskan who is quite small but can climb over a twelve foot plus fence. He can also escape from a wolf enclosure by climbing up, and hangs...

yes they get the blame for killing cattle and other live stock, the council here a while ago announced a aerial bait drop, there was a substantial reduction of live stock loss the best part about it no baits were dropped either so there was no reduction in dingoes.
