So in general kibble with grains is considered to be junk food? We're planning on our own chicken and maybe rabbits next spring and the dog will get his share too :) We have about 1 ha of apple orchard, so I hope our dog will like apples, because Skip (german shepherd we used to have) couldn't care ...

It's been said few times that tamaskans don't do well on kibble with grain. Just how common is that? Is it just the grainy kibble or the carbohydrates in general? Is rice, potatoes, pasta ok? How about fruits? I plan on feeding kibble half the time and cooked (or raw) meals the other days. What kind...
