Thanks for the congratulations, all! We've been so happy with him so far, apart from having to wear earplugs at night for now while he howls in his crate..

Re: Dokken (Hawthorne Albert Einstein)

I was going to say I hoped it wasn't a bark collar  but that GPS is a great idea! Can you share some links? I remember I couldn't put Wylie's tag on his when I first got him because it was too big (it was a military dog tag). Sweet Baby-Boy!!! Glad he is with you! The collar on the last three...

Dokken (Hawthorne Albert Einstein)

Ausbird and I picked our boy up from O'hare this past Saturday! Adorableness ensues. Thanks so much for everything Tracy & Ben, you've both been great! http://i1307.photobucket.com/albums/s591/loonwings/Dokken/th_2013-05-18105316_zps79dd8f68.jpg http://i1307.photobucket.com/albums/s591/loonwings/Dok...

Re: Vibram Five Fingers

These shoes look really cool! I might get a pair for when we go to the coast. The Croatian (Adriatic) Sea is so clean and clear that it is FULL of wildlife - from Sea Urchins galore, to Sea Cucumbers and Octopus. I don't mind per se... but it makes me freak out a little bit if I have to put my foot...

Re: Homosexuality in Domestic Dogs and Cats

I appreciate this topic and discussion, being a homosexual animal myself. :P WE EXIST! Definition of "homosexuality" may differ between species and mental capacity, naturally. A dolphin is going to have "feelings" closer to romance and bonding and whatnot more than, say, a jellyfish.

Re: Vibram Five Fingers

TOTALLY late to the discussion, but I'm on my fourth pair of VFFs right now! Two pairs of KSO, one Classic, and one Bikila LS (my favorite so far). Not sure what my next pair will be, but there sure a ton of new models to choose from lately

Re: New York Times addresses puppy mills and the AKC

Apparently the humane society released a report along these lines last year. Didn't realize the humane society took such strong positions publicly! Good for them. http://www.humanesociety.org/assets/pdfs/pets/puppy_mills/report_akc_breeders.pdf Really great document. Thanks for finding and sharing!

This means it's one more reason for me not wanting the Tamaskan to be recognized by AKC. lol.

Hi from Milwaukee!

Been lurking for awhile, figured I should probably make a post at some point! Hopeful future Tamaskan owner here, living with my partner in Milwaukee, WI. We've been reading up on the breed and readying ourselves for our first dog. We realize the Tamaskan isn't the ideal first dog, but we think we c...
