Re: PUPPIES BOUND FOR AUSTRALIA

We are still very interested in Tams and may one day look into importing ourselves.......asuming we succesfully jump through all the hoops with a breeder 8-) ....If we haven't ...

Re: Another Australian Tam Fan!

Lol yes, 7k is what I told Nat. It may end up being more depending on the cost of the blood tests. There are currently no future breeders in aus (the second and third tams haven't even got here yet, and all are boys). I do hope to breed in the future, but it will be a couple of years before I can a...

Re: Another Australian Tam Fan!

Gday AussieNat That's extremely dissapointing if that cost is correct, I haven't looked into Aquis yet or into the whole import process too deeply.....and I live in Adelaide.......I'm just not ready yet to apply/put name down. There are " future " TDR listed breeders though right......in Australia? ...

Re: Raw Recipes

My Sibes get a mix of raw human grade meat and fish, raw and sometimes cooked vegitables, Turkey necks (raw), the odd uncooked bone, occassionaly raw eggs (high in protien but the egg white is suppose to stop the absorbsion of other important nutrients - so i dont feed very often) and the odd table ...

Re: Shedding

I cant speak for the Tams yet but i also use the ferminator.........direction is important mind you. If you go against the natural fall of the coat it will damage it......also those turbo head atatchments for your vacume cleaner are really good (on carpets not dogs :| ) I try not to eat the hair but...

Re: Hello from Adelaide Australia

can't really say... as lynn said, sometimes people at the bottom of the list get pups before people at the top of the list if a whole chunk of people arn't ready yet... depends on how many people are ready at the time of pup's been born and or which pups you are after... We are in the process of se...

Re: How did YOU discover the Tamaskan breed?

I'm actually studying a low level vet technicians course atm, I followed a link from a breed dictionary from my training institute about Sibes, (which i often do because i have 2 of them) then another link from that page and eventually ended up here, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080...

Re: Hello from Adelaide Australia

I think i'd end the series there, dont want people to think I'm a boozer! My wifes half Scotish half Irish and i was born in Staffordshire (although only half English)..... maybe a celtic name ....which would also tie in with the Finish heritage of the breed. TBH i hadn't thought that far. I ...

Re: Back yards

Oh i dont keep my dogs outside but my girl Stella likes to be where ever i am and the boy Tequilla is usually out the back chasing birds or also with me if he's a bit sooky. The back doors usually open except at night. My dogs are crate trained but we do on a regular basis let them sleep with us ......

Back yards

From pictures I've seen online Tamaskans are generally bigger than Siberians and less bulky than Malamutes; the back yard fense for my 2 sibes is 6 foot -untipped (i got lucky and both of my dogs aren't escape artist) though my boy Tequilla can jump 6 feet to pluck a low flying birds out of the air ...

Hello from Adelaide Australia

Stunning dog and beautiful temperment, I'm proudly owned by two Sibes who I am sure would like to extend their pack size in a bold move to outnumber the bipeds in this household. Dissapointed there are no breeders in Australia. I will be lurking arround, keeping an eye out for future developments. l...
