Thank you for the help Sylvaen. Good to know there are more Tamaskans in Ontario. We are planing on neutering the poor boy but I'm having a hard time thinking about terminating his line. He is such a splendid example of the breed. First born, largest of the litter. He's a real prize. I was hoping find someone not too far away interested in breeding. Not interested in money, just would like to carry on his linage. Kinda why I'm poking around here again.
Ok. We will be back.

No problem! :D

There are two breeders near you, who might be interested in using Bucky as a stud dog one day:

Jessica (Oslett) in Kingston:
Osletttamaskans@gmail.com

Cheryl (ShadowGate) in Brooke-Alvinston:
shadowgatetamaskan@outlook.com

And there's the National Tamaskan Club of Canada, where you can meet other Tamaskan owners in Ontario:

I'll keep my fingers crossed that Bucky will get good health test results once he's old enough to begin testing. :)

Thank you for the contacts. With regards to the health testing. How old is old enough? Is this something I should be looking elsewhere on the sight to learn about?

No problem! :D

You can do the hip & elbow x-rays any time after 12+ months old, same with the eye exam. DNA testing for DM and DNA profiling via Neogen Geneseek can be done at any time, along with optional DNA tests like Embark or MyDogDNA. :)

Thanks again. Guess I will wait for the one year old mark then get some testing done if I happen to find a breeder nearby who is interested.
